African Mango

Irvingia gabonensis is a species of African trees that produce the African Mango fruit. Indigenous to the humid forest area from the northern countries Angola, Congo, Nigeria, and Côte d'Ivoire. A placebo-controlled study in 2005 showed greater weight-loss and improved blood-test results in obese human volunteers when compared with a placebo. Significant reductions took place in weight, waist circumference and systolic blood pressure compared to the placebo.
