Cheryl Cole warned to avoid junk food
Added on 14/07/10
Cheryl Cole doesn’t seem like the type of celebrity that needs to be told to lay off the junk food. The fashion idol has a much sought after figure and as the lady of the moment, she always seems healthy, vibrant, and of course extremely gorgeous. However, following the news that the Girls Aloud megastar contracted Malaria after a recent trip to Tanzania, the 27 year old is being warned by doctors to cut her intake of junk food and reduce her hectic work schedule. They fear she will face suffering future illnesses unless she slows down.
The belief is that the soon to be FORMER Mrs Cole’s immune has been weakened due to her not eating enough regular, healthy meals. Close friend Matthew Williamson revealed that “every time I’m with her, she’s always got a Mars Bar, or she’s drinking a full fat coke.” The pop star has hardly had a day off since fully dedicating herself to her career following her well-publicised split from Ashley Cole. This may be the main reason behind her lack of concern for her own health. Although having a snack or a treat is perfectly normal, nutritionists stress that they should be part of a full healthy diet and not treated as a substitute for a meal.
There are many types of food that can help you boost your immune system. Fruit and veg, proteins, and whole grains are perfect, as well as drinking plenty of water. Some supplements are also a fantastic source of vitamins and antioxidants, when coupled with a healthy diet.
On the mend
The good news is that the Geordie bombshell is apparently doing a lot better. Fellow X Factor judge, and close friend, Simon Cowell revealed that he had received a text from Cheryl stating that “she is on the mend and looking forward to coming back to work.” We would like to say a huge get well soon to Cheryl from all of us at WeightWorld. We can’t wait to see her back to her very best!
