5 Weeks to Your Perfect Bikini Body! Week 4

You say fish and chips, I say fish and greens!

We are almost there. 14 days to go! Happy with the results so far? If you were following the rules, you should be. Still not satisfied?  Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world. The most important thing: stay positive and don’t give up. And – I’m not kidding here - stay relaxed…

Do you want to look good in your bikini? Here are some simple rules to follow for last two weeks.

Fruit before training won’t kill you

If you are on very strict with your diet, you must be missing not only a chocolate ice cream or KitKat bars but also grapes, pineapples and other fruit. Like I said before: fruit does contain sugar so you need to be careful, especially just before your summer holiday. But there is no point to go crazy. Have an apple or 10 sweet red grapes before your training. They will help you with your cravings (stop thinking about this KitKat bar that I mentioned!) and give you an extra shot of energy before your workout.

Eat mainly fish with greens

Forget about jacket potatoes and hot chili. Last days should be all about fish. The best option is to mix them up a little: one day try salmon, another cod or tuna. It’s up to you. Worried about the fat content? Trust me, you shouldn’t. If you eat healthy and exercise it’s not going to make you any bigger. Greens are very important here: with you fish have a nice salad. What kind of greens? Spinach, rocket, broccoli, even avocado. One rule: everything that’s green is good for you (that doesn’t include names like “Green and Blacks”!)

 Move every day!

Stick to your training routine with big exercises like: squats, lunges, bench press, pushups, pull downs in circuit format. Add cardio component: weather is amazing – go outside for a nice run or even jog. I don’t want to see you on a cross-trainer or treadmill. It’s time for outdoor training. Listen to your Personal Trainer! Still not convinced? How about a bit of natural tan before your actual holiday? Pick your favorite music, and keep checking your heart rate (I recommend training watches that track your progress and you can buy a special watch like the ones from Polar or an application) to stay motivated.

And now few tips for your everyday life:

·         Drink more than 3 liters of water a day. Squeeze half lemon to your bottle in the morning.

·         Swap your coffee for green tea. Impossible? Drink black coffee or Americano instead of latte.

·          Try to walk as much as you can. Let’s be honest – who likes a crowded tube? It’s nicer to walk to work and get some positive energy from the sun.

And don’t stress too much about it. Try to enjoy your life even when you are on a diet. Go to the sauna or steam room, relax, read a good book and have 2-3 glasses of wine a week. That’s glasses not bottles...
